School on Fridays is honestly just pointless. Everyone’s tired from the week, and it’s hard to focus when you’re already thinking about the weekend. If we had Fridays off, students would be more rested and ready to actually learn the rest of the week.

We should absolutly have Fridays off from school. First of all no one wants to be agt school anyways, especially on a friday, because everyone is busy thinking about the weekend and what they are going to do. No one is going to be focused in class enough on friday because of all the work that they had to do over the entire week.
Although it seems nice to have shorter weeks, banning school on Fridays would cause the school year to extend well past June or July. This would disrupt a lot of schedules and may lead to even more exhaustion in students. Students deserve long breaks after the school year.
Yes, we should consider banning school on Fridays. The traditional school week often places a significant burden on students, especially when the pressure to complete assignments, prepare for exams, and attend extracurricular activities fills every weekday. By eliminating Fridays, students would have more time to recharge, explore creative pursuits, or engage in self-directed learning.
Many studies suggest that extended classroom time doesn’t necessarily equate to better learning outcomes. In fact, when students are forced to spend long hours in class without enough breaks, their attention and retention drop. Reducing the number of school days would allow for more focused, efficient learning on the days that remain, leading to better overall performance.
Additionally, Fridays often serve as a "catch-up" day rather than productive learning time. With fewer hours spent in classrooms, students could spend more time with family or in activities that contribute to their emotional and physical well-being. This would help to reduce the stress and burnout that many students face, making them more engaged and motivated when they do return to class.
By rethinking the structure of the school week, we could create a healthier, more balanced environment that better serves the needs of students in the modern world.
I also feel like that this would result in more balance in our society. Even though this would limit the amount of consecutive vacation days; it would ensure more effective learning days and an adequate amount of rest days.
I agree but also what about shorter holidays as a result? Do you think it's better for Middle Eastern countries to stretch their weekend from Friday-Saturday to Friday-Sunday or Thursday-Saturday?
Good points but would this mean adding more days to the school year, and if so is it worth shorter vacation times?
